You can tell his mom has been planning to surprise her son with a puppy dog for months. The video starts simple enough by his mom asking: “Can you the camera why we’re in Colorado Springs right now?”
Her son gives her a smartly answer: “[We’re in] Colorado Springs to go check out some new places for QDOBA Mexican Grill”. From his initial response, it’s as if he’s telling her “Oh, yeah Mom, I’ve got this covered. I know why we’re here”.
His mom continues egging him on… “Right!”… “Good call”…
She then proceeds to change the entire direction of her conversation with the following question:
“What would you say if I told you I’ve been lying to you for months, and that that’s not why we’re here?”
Her son responds: “Why would we be here?”.
His facial expression says everything. He’s totally confused by what she just said. You can tell they have a very close mother-son relationship. Here he is, with one of the closest persons that he has in his life, and she just finished telling him that she’s been lying to him all along.
Not to be outdone, she springs another question:
“what could be the greatest thing I could GIVE you right now?”
Her son replies: “No…. no, you didn’t!!!”
They get out of the car and you can tell from her son’s expression that he is totally overjoyed by the surprise.
His response is totally worth it.
